Been a busy week again down at the airport, with some very early morning finishes! Here's a quick walk through the 1200x600 walkways before I grouted them on Thursday night. This tile layout ran parralel to the ceiling panels above them through 2/3 of the layout. The joiners who installed the ceiling after i'd layed the floors said it was incredibly accurate and the best they've seen 👍💪🔥. I must have spent at least 4 hours on layouts myself and have to give some credit to the builder for his part in this one 😎. Teamwork makes dreamwork they say. I used mapei kerabond and Isolastic #mymapeiprojectnz on all the large format tiles and keraflex Maxi on all the 600x600's which I just started yesterday. 24m2 down in a day on some pretty average floors an't a bad result. A medium grind with random exposure coupled with a hard wearing matte urethane topcoat makes for a pretty sweet looking garage floor. Laying Tiles So we finally made it, these Tiles are not going anywhere anytime soon. However in there freshly laid state, A stray painter ignored my signs and was removed😡🤕 #terrytait On floors I usualy use a 12mm notch trail and back butter the tile before placing it. This helps achieve full coverage on the tile so it will remain adhered to the substrate. From here on I will silicone the open cavity between the waterproofing and Tiles, tile the walls and tile upstands instead of skirting. Followed next week by grout and silicone to finish I was hoping to show the few finishing steps but didn't make it to those today! Did a splashback to finish up the week. Subway tile with @mapeinzltd kerapoxy grout. I always recommend epoxy grout for splashbacks because it's not porous so no oil splatter can soak in and stain your grout. Plus it never needs sealing. It really finished this job off great! ( I hadn't done the silicone yet when I took these🤫) #mymapeiprojectnz

We had a good week working with the guys from @peachs_hot_chicken installing their new kitchen floor. A 6mm PU cement floor will give them a great surface for years to come.
