Mapei’s Role in the Louvre Museum
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is without a doubt one of the most cutting-edge and technically hard buildings to be completed in the city in recent years, therefore Mapei was eager to participate and add it to our growing list of prominent projects.
The main obstacle was to install marble in an indoor area so large, adding to it the wet and dry areas. For this, Mapei required a skilled installer and strong adhesives such as Keraflex Maxi, Kerapoxy, Kerapoxy Adhesive, Mapesil LM, Mapesil AC, and Ultracolor Plus.
MAPECOAT W SP is a two-component epoxy coating for the protection of concrete substrates that resists acid, hydrocarbons, and oils, as well as being extremely abrasion resistant.
Adesilex PG2 is a two component thixotropic epoxy adhesive for bonding Mapeband, Mapeband TPE, hypalon, and structural bonding.
There was no other better brand in sight than Mapei for this job because of it’s high-end quality, superb performance, and easy installation.
