Mapei Supports the 2025 Red Bull Half-Court UAE Qualification Round with High-Performance Sports Flooring Solutions

On 28 November 2025, Mapei supported the UAE qualification round of the Red Bull Half-Court series by providing a specialised sports flooring solution at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) car park. The open outdoor venue was transformed into six professional half-courts, creating a vibrant street-basketball environment that hosted 30 teams representing 18 different countries, highlighting the truly international character of the competition.

To address the technical demands of hosting a high-intensity sporting event on a car park substrate, Mapei supplied MAPECOAT TNS Paint, an acrylic resin coating system developed specifically for sports flooring applications. The system delivered reliable slip resistance, consistent colour finish, and solid mechanical performance under intensive use, while also providing a smooth and stable surface suitable for detailed artistic work. This ensured safe play, clear court markings, and a strong visual identity throughout the qualification round.

The event was further enhanced by vibrant artwork painted directly onto the courts by local artist Ferhad Kaz, adding energy and character to the playing surfaces and reinforcing the street-basketball identity of the Red Bull Half-Court series. The compatibility of MAPECOAT TNS Paint with artistic applications allowed for precise detailing and strong visual impact across all six courts.

Mapei’s involvement in this year’s edition focused entirely on the qualification round at DWTC, where the company provided product expertise and technical support during the court preparation phase. The UAE project forms part of Mapei’s ongoing international collaboration with Red Bull, which has delivered artist-painted basketball courts in cities such as Rome, Cairo, Bologna, Naples, Mannheim, Lausanne, and Melbourne.
