The project – carried out by Ian Costello Tiling – featured porcelain tile finishes and formed part of an extension of the existing showroom by Northern Structures Limited.
During Costello Tiling’s installation, surfaces were prepared with Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 - a fibre reinforced self levelling compound – and waterproofing, uncoupling and anti-fracture membrane, Mapeguard UM 35 was installed throughout the floor area. Two deformable cementitious adhesives were used to install tiles: Keraquick S1 – a quick-setting, very low VOC formulation – and one-component, lightweight adhesive, Ultralite S2. The installation was completed with anti-efflorescence, quick-setting and drying polymer-modified grout – Ultracolor Plus – which features water-repellent DropEffect® and mould-resistant BioBlock® technologies. |
