Mapei celebrates 30 Years of Guggenheim Intrapresæ

Culture, business and community at the foundations of the partnership with the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation
July 5, 2022

When helped renovate the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York in 2008 by supplying its products and technical assistance, it was just the beginning of deep and lasting ties with the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation.

Firmly believing in culture as an innovative form of corporate communication, Mapei chose to become part of the Guggenheim Intrapresæ project, the first and most renowned Corporate Membership project focused on an Italian museum, which was set up in 1992 and involves some of the best-known Italian companies that can boast both entrepreneurial excellence and a passion for art.

This group of companies supports all the operations and activities of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, offering its support for the benefit of the entire community in the name of inclusiveness, social responsibility and innovation.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Guggenheim Intrapresæ asked its members to lend their faces and voices for a special communication campaign centred on the connection between evolution and art. The face representing Mapei belongs to the CEO Veronica Squinzi.

From sponsoring an exhibition devoted to the winner of the 1912 Paris Roubaix, a cycle race particularly important to Mapei, to contributing to the purchase of a latest-generation optical microscope, Mapei has taken part in numerous enterprises organised by the Peggy Guggheneim Collection, well aware that "work can never be separated from art and passion", as Rodolfo Squinzi, the company's founder, used to say.

This is precisely why Mapei will always continue to support the spread and conservation of culture, supplying its expertise and products to help restore and enhance our artistic-building heritage.

Happy Birthday Guggenheim Intrapresæ!
