Driving sustainable growth: how Cube System is powering Mapei UK's market success

Mapei UK has seen a significant increase in sales of CUBE system admixtures in these early months of 2025. What key factors have led to this success?
The key factors for our success are down to the innovative nature of our CUBE system to support the carbon reduction in concrete products which the UK market is looking to achieve. The sales team in the UK have been using their skills to develop trial data which has shown considerable benefit to the customer not only in terms of cement / carbon reduction but also cost. This tangible benefit which each customer has experienced has driven the sale and allowed us to build some momentum in the UK market.
What commercial opportunities now open up for CUBE SYSTEM solutions? In which areas of the UK market can the technical performance of the system's products be most exploited?
The CUBE system solutions will open up many commercial opportunities mainly in the dense block and ready-mix concrete markets. As the industry continues to push for cement replacements to be used the need will become greater and all areas of the concrete market will become a tangible target, with success coming from a focused strategy for each area. At this moment in time the strategic focus is on blocks, precast and ready-mix concrete which is bringing success. As the team’s expertise grow in the field, we are confident further success will come with additional focus and support.

How can these technologies help to win new customers and strengthen relationships with existing ones?
CUBE solutions have been an exciting innovative development for the team allowing them to support their existing clients with technology which adds further value to our product offering whilst at the same time provided a fantastic platform to target new customers. Targeting new business with innovative technology which can provide real carbon benefits is a real bonus for the sales team as we look to grow our market share in line with our strategy. It allows positive conversations about supplying the full range of products to support the CUBE system. We look forward to working with Sven-Henrik Norman, Corporate Product Manager for the RE-CON Line and team to further use the CUBE system as a key part of our successful sales strategy in the UK.
