A seismic upgrade of the building and turning it into apartments.
The solution for the seismic strengthening was to use the Mapewrap C Uni-AX fabric due to the high strength it provides while also being a lightweight system that was not adding much additional weight to the floors & walls. Floors 1-10 have been strengthened similar the attached detail. Some of the walls in apartments 3-6 and the lift shaft & foyer walls from 3-7 have also had the Mapewrap C Uni-AX fabric applied. The floor areas were rebated down approximate 100 to allow for different layers of fabric strips. Once the strengthening work was complete the final layer of fabric was complete with resin & broadcast an FLC to flush off to the existing floor level. We have since specified & supplied Ultraplan Eco for this. |
