Council Basketball required to be more hard wearing than standard sports court coatings and to incorporate a Māori design.
Mapecoat TNS Race Track was selected due to its very hard wearing nature. The council had problems in the past where kids had used skateboards and scooters on the other sports court coatings and damaged the coatings and were having to recoat consistently. The water based epoxy resin in the TNS Extreme is very hard wearing and it has proved to be resistant to all of the heavy footfall and hard wheeled skateboards and scooter traffic experienced on council courts. The Mapecoat TNS Extreme has proved so successful in these environments that it is starting to be specified for council sports courts up and down the country. |
