The installation was carried out by GF Holding Tiling Ltd for Caddick Construction and included kitchen/diners, bathrooms and living areas throughout all 466 apartments.
The ceramic installation, which totalled over 3000m2, included Arizona Greige and Sandstone Light Grey, both in 600x600mm formats. Before installation, GF Holdings levelled all floors with Mapei Latexplan Trade Fast – a two-part rapid setting, fast drying smoothing compound which can be walked on within one hour and is installation-ready in less than three hours. Tiles were then installed using rapid-set Mapei Keraquick S1, a deformable cementitious adhesive that can accept light foot traffic after just 2-3 hours, with tiles ready to grout in the same time frame. The installation was finished with Mapei Ultracolor Plus in colour 113 Cement Grey - an anti-efflorescence, quick-setting and drying polymer-modified grout which features water-repellent DropEffect® and mould-resistant BioBlock®. |
