The Oasis retirement Village is an upmarket retirement facility built in the Century city region in the Western Cape. The facility will boast several buildings including accommodation, frail-care facilities and entertainment area. Mapei South Africa provided a wall coating solution for the work done on the Palm d’Or building which boasts 11 Floors and 50 different apartments. Mapei South Africa supplied the applicator, Solid Space, with the Quartzolite Tornochino and Base Coat coating products for application underneath the balconies through the building. The decision was taken not to plaster the Soffits underneath the balcony so the Mapei Products were selected to be used directly onto the concrete slabs The motivation was that a low maintenance solution was required as well as the grain size that was needed to address the uneven surfaces on the concrete substrate. |
