Aplicación	In the heart of the city center of Zaragoza, this neo-Mudejar style building built in 1931 is home to the city's Colegio de San Agustín. The expansion of its facilities is planned with a new building dedicated to the school canteen, equipped with an industrial kitchen, accessible bathrooms and some pedagogical spaces whose continuous flooring, proposed in collaboration with Bernabad Estudio de Arquitectura, is solved with Mapei systems to meet the high technical and aesthetic requirements. Description of the interventions and the application process: Kitchen: Spaces such as industrial kitchens, present specific technical requirements in terms of mechanical behavior, slipperiness and hygiene and cleanliness so choosing the right system is essential. The Mapefloor System 32 industrial flooring system is ideal in these cases. Once the substrate had been checked, the need for slopes to drain drains for the correct runoff of liquids was verified by applying the high-strength thixotropic mortar Mapegrout SV T. Once set, the primer was applied with Primer SN to improve the adhesion of the flooring, reinforced with Mapetherm Net R 131 fiberglass mesh to ensure the durability of the system and minimize possible future pathologies. Mapefloor I 302 SL epoxy resin, special for compliance with regulations for uses in food environments and clean rooms, was used for the execution of the flooring. Dining room: The first step in the treatment of the area destined for the dining room was the epoxy primer of the substrate by applying Primer SN reinforced with Mapetherm Net R 131 fiberglass mesh. The continuous pavement was made by using Ultratop Industrial self-leveling mortar protected with Mapefloor Finish 58 W, aliphatic polyurethane finish coat, in light gray. Exterior corridors: The teaching center has outdoor corridors that are semi-protected with flying so it is necessary to waterproof them by applying the ready-to-use liquid membrane Mapelastic Aquadefense and sealing the critical points with the rubberized band Mapeband. For the flooring, given the requirements of comfort and high resistance to UV rays, the MAPEFLOOR COMFORT SYSTEM without blanket was selected, a polyurethane resin-based system consisting of Mapefloor PU 460 and Mapefloor Finish 59 W topcoat with Mapefloor Filler for improved slip resistance properties.
