The High School and Junior High School along with the kindergarten are located in the urban campus of Psychiko. The elementary school is located, for more than a decade, in the new premises in Kantza, a couple of kilometers away from the urban area of Athens and its suburbs. During August and September of 2017, a very ambitious athletic fields construction program was executed in the elementary school of Kantza. It included the renovation of the tartan of the three existing outdoor basketball fields plus the construction of a number of new outdoor athletic fields: seven basketball, six volley, two handball, 2 tennis, one mini basketball and three mini volley fields. For all the tartans of the above-mentioned fields the MAPECOAT TNS CUSHION System was chosen. All the new athletic fields were constructed in the near vicinity of the existing ones and since, due to environmental reasons, asphalt was not an option they were based on concrete slabs. Product Application ADESILEX G19 mixed with quartz sand was used to fil the new concrete slab joints, as well as to create uniform final surfaces in the old existing basketball fields. All the cementitious substrates were treated with the two-component water-epoxy primer MAPECOAT I600W diluted 1:1 with water. Above the primer, was installed the MAPECOAT TNS Grey Base Coat using rubber trowel. Then two successive coats of the MAPECOAT TNS Finish were applied, in red or green. A final layer of MAPECOAST TNS PAINT in red or green was applied on top of the MAPECOAT TNS FINISH. Finally, all field lines were materialized using the MAPECOAT TNS Line product in white, yellow or blue (depending on the type of field).
