Mapei has been shortlisted as a finalist for four projects, across three separate categories, in this year’s TTA Awards.   The “biggest accolade in the tiling industry”, The Tile Association Awards celebrates success and is revered for its recognition of excellence.  Finalist presentations will take place on 16 May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The prestigious Mapei projects that have received the nominations include:

•  Kentish Town Underground Station in North London - for Best Commercial Project (Large - Commercial & Transport). A comprehensive refurbishment of tiled and rendered areas, carried out by Cleshar for Transport for London.

• St Moritz Hotel & Cowshed Spa, Cornwall – for Best Commercial Project (Large - Hospitality & Leisure).  A luxe surface installation completed at the iconic north coast landmark hotel by J H Lidstone.
  
• Porsche Centre, Newport - for Best Commercial Project (Large – Retail & Car Showrooms). An extensive tiling project at the brand new state-of-the-art ‘Destination’ facility, completed by Anderson Tiling.
  
• The Hangar, Bristol – for Best Commercial Project (Large – Retail & Car Showrooms). An extensive tiling installation at Dick Lovett Group’s Bristol campus completed by SHC Tiling.
  
  
  

Providing comprehensive project support throughout, the Mapei tile system specifications included Mapei surface preparation products, adhesive, grout, sealant, protective paint systems and UltraCare maintenance products and featured very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus formulations and Zero Line products, with CO₂ fully offset in the entire life cycle.
