The specification included mortars, adhesive, grout, sealant and UltraCare maintenance products - featuring very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus formulations – and protective paint system, Silancolor Tonachino Plus. Ceramics from Original Style were installed to replicate the original 1920’s Metro tiles.
Mapei was also short-listed for three other awards.
They included Best Commercial Project (Large - Hospitality & Leisure) for St Moritz Hotel & Cowshed Spa in Cornwall and two nominations for Best Commercial Project (Large – Retail & Car Showrooms) for Porsche Centre, Newport and The Hangar, Bristol.
