Mapei UK in collaboration with Boyden Tile are hosting a tour of the Mapei S.p.A. Milan offices and showroom, manufacturing facilities and laboratories, showcasing the Mapei Group’s products and services to a group of contractors; cementing the relationship between manufacturer, retailer and contractor.

The Milan Research and Development facility acts as Mapei’s Corporate Research Centre, being one of 18 main research centres in 13 countries. 12% of the Group’s employees and 5% of annual turnover are invested into R&D working with the most sophisticated equipment available, collaborating with prestigious universities and scientific and industrial research institutes as well as providing support to the Technical Services and Quality Control Departments.

Phil Breakspear, Managing Director of Mapei UK commented “Hosting the corporate trip to visit the Mapei Group facilities ensures we are able to demonstrate first-hand how much time and effort the Mapei Group dedicate to research and quality control - from the initial design stage through to production to ensure that all Mapei products, across the number of product lines are of the highest quality.”

Henry Williamson, Managing Director of Boydens Tiles commented “We are extremely grateful to be visiting the Mapei Group’s headquarters in Italy. The kind gesture further demonstrates the continual support that Mapei provides to its customers and contractors alike.”
