ULTRACOAT PREMIUM BASE is a two-component, water-based primer with good insulating properties, with very low emission of volatile organic compounds and zero NMP, for use when applying water-based finishing cycles on wood flooring, and is used to prepare traditional and engineered wood flooring and wood flooring that needs to be restored before applying a water-based finishing cycle. ULTRACOAT PREMIUM BASE is a base varnish for parquet with excellent covering properties and good sandability; easy to apply. It also minimises the problem of overlaps. ULTRACOAT PREMIUM BASE has been developed to bring out the natural shade of wood without causing unsightly variations in colour in wood rich with tannins or other extracts (oak, teak, etc.), which makes it particularly recommended for more difficult types of wood when you want to prevent it from darkening or reddening.
Thanks to its high content of solid residues, ULTRACOAT PREMIUM BASE also allows treatment cycles to be applied with just a single coat of Ultracoat one-component or two-component finish, depending on the final use of the flooring.
ULTRACOAT PREMIUM BASE is solvent-free with zero NMP content (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone) and, in combination with Ultracoat HT 2K, forms the Ultracoat system with Bfl s1 - Cfl s1 fire reaction class certification.
