Mapei (UK) Ltd is seeking to recruit a Head of Technical Services.

The main role will be to lead the technical team in the services Mapei offer to our varying customer bases. Based at the main office in Halesowen the Head of technical services will manage the building products team while also leading and developing the managers and office team.

Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels; be able to work flexibly, and be well presented with a professional attitude, team player and have good leadership qualities.

Essential:  Proven previous experience of delivering customer specific requirements.
                    Excellent communication skills throughout the industry, including external customers and contacts.
                    A good understanding of the relevant standards.
                    The practical application of materials and the ability to demonstrate these too groups.
                    History of developing specifications and systems to deliver critical information.
                    Process driven with a good understanding of ISO 9001.
                    Understand and to have used NBS, NBS Chorus and NBS Source
                    To have the ability to manage complaints in a professional manner.
                    To think critically.
                    Excellent organisation skills.
                    A good written standard of English.
                    Previous experience of managing people.
                    A good working understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
                    An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
                    At least 6 GCSE passes, grade ‘C’ or equivalent to include English and Maths


Desirable:  A qualification in a suitable discipline, i.e., building and construction and/or least 10 years’ experience within the building and construction sector.

Salary will be negotiable based on experience, knowledge, and ability.

Hours of work: Monday- Friday 08:30-17:00 with an hour for lunch, 37.5 hours a week.
