A vacancy has arisen at Mapei (UK) Ltd for the role of Health Safety Environment Co-ordinator in Halesowen.

The main role will be to advise on Safety, health, environmental issues, and waste stream management.
To support and monitor onsite visitors, and contractors via their onsite Inductions. Review safe systems of work, and carry out inspections to identify any unsafe equipment, working conditions, practices, fire hazards, environmental aspects & impacts, and then produce reports and recommendations regarding the correction of any defects.
To carry out observational inspections when required. Conduct and complete various health and safety assessments, such as, Desk Screen Equipment, equipment inspections and checks. Ensure fire safety and manage accident / incident reporting, and associated paperwork. To carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the Integrated Management System (IMS) function as required.

Essential: 

• 2–5 years’ experience of working in a similar health and safety role, with a production / manufacturing environment.

• IOSH Managing Safety Certificate as a minimum.

• NEBOSH General Certificate would be an advantage.

• An environmental qualification.

• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

The hours of work will be 37.5 hours a week from 2200 Sunday to 0600 Friday. A full job description and person specification is available.
