Mapei (UK) Ltd is seeking to recruit a Store Support Advisor DIY-Midlands & North

The main duties will be to visit DIY outlets and offer support, to ensure the company has an active presence in all major accounts. Duties will include, checking promotional activity, talking to store staff and members of the public, offer product information and basic training and check stocks within stores. The candidate will need to be able to communicate verbally to a good standard.

We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated person with a positive outlook and pro-active approach in all areas of the role. Reliable, flexible and trustworthy. Must be well presented. Can work alone as well as part of a team. The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines is essential, along with demonstrating effective time management skills and the ability to continue working accurately under pressure.

Essential: 

• Have good IT skills.

• Good numeracy & literacy skills.

• Strong organisation skills.

• Must be able to drive
  
• Effective communication skills with a confident, clear & concise manner.
  
• Minimum 3 GCSE’s to grade ‘C’ or equivalent to include English and Maths
  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Mapei ceramic and resilient products.
  
• Previous experience in DIY industry.

Salary will be negotiable based on experience, knowledge and ability.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, 8.30am – 5pm Monday-Friday with 1 hour for lunch. Out of office hours may be required and therefore overnight stays may be necessary
