Application	Founded in 1992 and located in the town of Sant Pere de Ribes, the Lycée Français Bel Air is part of the network of French schools abroad. In its commitment to providing modern and safe facilities, it has refurbished approximately 984 m² of its sports court, which had been affected by natural wear and tear, exposure to weather conditions and intensive use. The work focused on the centre court and the playing circuits, using Mapei sports flooring systems, renowned for their high resistance and durability. Description of the work and the application process: The project was carried out by the company ARIS-FLOOR S.L. and was developed in the following technical phases: 1. Preparation of the substrate: Deep sanding and vacuuming of the existing surface, followed by repair of cracks to ensure proper adhesion. 2. Application of epoxy primer: Mapecoat TNS EPW was used, a water-based epoxy primer that improves adhesion to concrete and asphalt, increasing mechanical resistance. 3. Acrylic-epoxy coating: Afterwards, Mapecoat TNS Extreme was applied, a two-component system that combines flexibility and resistance, ideal for high-impact and heavy-use areas. Specific colours were used for the different areas: rust red, Mapecoat TNS Extreme 24, and light blue, Mapecoat TNS Extreme 14, for the centre court, smoothed with the finishing coat Mapecoat TNS Extreme SF 24 and Mapecoat TNS Extreme SF 14, respectively, while intense green, Mapecoat TNS Extreme 18 with the finishing coat Mapecoat TNS Extreme SF 18, was used for the area outside the court. 4. Line marking: The refurbishment of the centre court was completed with line marking using Mapecoat TNS Line acrylic resin-based paint, ensuring visibility and wear resistance. 5. The play circuits were made with a base of Mapecoat TNS Extreme and Mapecoat TNS Line in different colours (24/15/28/34/14/19/12/27/35/31/4/23/), bringing life and colour to these spaces dedicated to leisure. Thanks to this renovation using the Mapecoat TNS System, the sports court has not only regained its functionality and aesthetics, but now offers a safe surface, designed to absorb impacts and reduce the risk of injury during sports and recreational activities for students.
