Beschreibung	Concrete Supplier: Millstone Bangert Cost: $420 Million Situation: High volume production, consistent slump, set, air and early strength generation to allow traffic to be open. Description: The largest highway project the [MO DOT] has ever let, this Design Build contract includes removing and replacing over 10.5 miles of interstate and 29 bridges. The western half of the project completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule and opened to traffic on December 15, 2008. The Eastern portion completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule on December 7, 2009. MBI is part of the Gateway Constructors team that also includes Fred Weber, Inc. and Granite Construction. Project Overview: •9 miles of reconstructed highway •13 interchanges •8 major bridges/overpasses •456,156 tons recycled material •261,235 cubic yards of concrete pavement •157,381 linear feet of retaining wall •238,000 square feet bridge deck panels •5 million pounds structural steel •60,000 cubic yards of structural concrete
