Thermal insulation products form a complex system made up of different materials, each one certified to comply with the most restrictive European standards. The Mapei external thermal insulation system, called the Mapetherm system, is the result of a careful analysis of all the components typically used in an external system and of the variables that influence its performance. Apart from being an effective way of reducing energy consumption in new homes, it is the most efficient way of achieving an immediate improvement in the energy efficiency of existing buildings. Also, the system is so versatile that even natural stone and ceramic may be applied to coat the surface, particularly large format, thin tiles.

Mapei to showcase on energy-saving solutions at National Homebuilding & Renovating Show 2024

In response to rising costs and the energy crisis, Mapei will be showcasing thermal external wall insulation solutions at this year’s National Homebuilding & Renovating Show – at NEC Birmingham from 21-24 March at Stand D203. Highlights will include BBA-certified EPS and mineral wool thermal insulation systems, as well as a range of renders and coatings. Technical experts from Mapei’s UK team will also be on-hand at stand no. D203, to advise on all aspects of insulation for domestic new builds and renovation projects.

Two thermal solutions that will be forming part of Mapei’s main show focus include Mapetherm Mineral Wool and Mapetherm EPS PLUS systems (PS1 & PS2). The Mapetherm Mineral Wool System comprises of dual-density mineral wool fibre insulation slabs, with a reinforced basecoat and render finish. The system is designed for use on external masonry walls in domestic and non-domestic settings. Meanwhile, Mapetherm EPS Plus is an extruded sintered polystyrene insulating panel used for thermal insulation, for use on external masonry walls. It is available in various thicknesses to suit all applications. These external wall installation systems also comply with NHBC Standards 2021.

Other products on show will include Maperend Render Only (236090 PS1) BBA, Mapetherm LWSF EPS & Mineral Wool (PS3 & PS5) and Mapetherm Timber Frame EPS & Mineral Wool (PS4 & PS6).
