Our Global Commitment: Supporting Communities Worldwide

July 16, 2025

This week, the team at MBP demonstrated remarkable community spirit by organising a food fundraiser to support the Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centers in Uyole, Tanzania.

The event, featuring a staff-led stall with homemade food and refreshments, successfully raised funds that will directly aid orphaned children at the center, providing essential resources such as food, school supplies, and other necessities.

Established in 2006 by Tanzanian humanitarian Sekela Mbwiga, the Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Center offers critical care, nourishment, education, and a safe environment for vulnerable children in Uyole . Over the years, it has become a vital support system, delivering not only physical sustenance but also emotional and social support to those in need.

MBP's contribution goes beyond financial assistance; it reflects a commitment to global solidarity. By extending their charitable efforts beyond New Zealand, MBP fosters a culture of compassion and global citizenship among its staff. The funds raised will help sustain daily operations at the orphan centers, ensuring that every child has access to healthcare, education, and a nurturing environment.

“Aarti Thakur from Customer Services—who organised the event—said it demonstrates how collective effort can spark meaningful change in New Zealand. She hopes it inspires other organisations and individuals to back causes like the Naomi Ruth Bread of Life Orphan Centre.”

All proceeds from the fundraiser have been donated to the centre, supporting orphaned children in Tanzania.

Thank you to everyone who contributed.
