Mapei NZ's National Product Manager, Prashant Magare, recently presented a technical paper on composite anchoring systems at the Concrete NZ Conference 2025, sharing insights from decades of research and experimental work.
This research focuses on understanding load transfer mechanisms between carbon fibre connectors and concrete, particularly when used in conjunction with FRP strengthening systems, improving the bond and anchorage mechanisms between carbon fibre and concrete, paving the way for more durable, efficient, and sustainable FRP structural strengthening systems.
This reflects Mapei’s ongoing commitment to engineering excellence and materials research, supported by 33 research centres across 22 countries, continuously advancing the science of construction.
We would like to thank Concrete NZ for an outstanding event, as well as our team, Abdelrahman Zidane and Asheena Moodley. It's always rewarding to connect with industry peers and exchange ideas, shaping the future of concrete in New Zealand.
