Vrsta uporabe	In the town of Sant Pere de Ribes, in the region of Barcelona, there was a need to intervene on the almost 1300 m² of galvanized sheet metal of the roof of the municipal swimming pool. The project not only included the repair of the leaks, but also the installation of a solar panel system for self-consumption, which required the use of a bonded system that complied with the Broof t1 safety standard. This standard ensures that the system applied is fire resistant and meets the highest safety standards. Description of the Interventions: First Phase: Pressure Cleaning of the Deck. The first step consisted of pressure cleaning the roof, removing all dirt and debris that could compromise the adhesion of the products applied in subsequent phases. During this stage, the deteriorated areas were repaired and sealed using Mapeflex PU 45 FT, a highly elastic polyurethane sealant, ideal for joints and cracks, which offers excellent adhesion to materials such as metal and is water resistant, ensuring proper surface protection. Second Phase: Application of the Two-Component Epoxy Primer Next, the Primer EP 100W water-based epoxy two-component primer was applied, specially formulated to improve the adhesion of subsequent coats on non-absorbent substrates. Primer EP 100W ensures excellent adhesion and resistance to humidity, perfectly preparing the surface for the application of the polyurea membrane. Third Phase: Application of the Bicomponent Polyurea Hybrid Membrane The third phase was crucial to guarantee the definitive waterproofing of the roof. Purtop FR, a two-component polyurea hybrid membrane applied by spraying with a high-pressure mixing pump, was used. This product stands out for its excellent reaction to fire as well as its high resistance to climatic aggressions and abrasion. Fourth Phase: Application of the Colored Finish Finally, Mapecoat PU 20 N was applied, a high-quality, two-component, aliphatic, colored polyurethane finish, specially designed to protect and beautify the treated surfaces. This product not only improves the aesthetics of the roof, but also offers excellent resistance to UV rays and temperature changes, prolonging the life of the waterproofing system and ensuring a long-lasting aesthetic appearance. This comprehensive intervention process not only solved the water infiltration problems, but also provided a sustainable and safe solution, suitable for the installation of solar panels and complying with the most stringent regulations in terms of safety and security.
