MAPEI India at IGBC

December 23, 2025
We are proud to share a significant milestone for MAPEI India at the prestigious platform of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), one of India’s most influential forums dedicated to sustainable and responsible construction.

At the recent IGBC forum, our corporate colleague Mikaela Decio was invited as a Keynote Speaker, where she addressed an audience of leading green architects, developers, consultants, and sustainability professionals on green homes and MAPEI’s global approach to sustainability.

Sustainability Backed by Science and Research
In her keynote, Mikaela Decio highlighted how MAPEI’s sustainability strategy is grounded in real research, validated data, and measurable outcomes, not assumptions or superficial claims. She spoke about how sustainability at MAPEI is integrated across the entire value chain, including:
- Product design and life-cycle assessment
- Responsible sourcing and low-impact formulations
- Energy-efficient and environmentally conscious manufacturing
- Long-lasting, high-performance solutions that reduce repair, waste, and resource consumption

This reinforces MAPEI’s belief that true sustainability is achieved when performance, durability, and environmental responsibility coexist.

A Global Vision with Local Impact
A key highlight of the session was how MAPEI’s global sustainability framework translates meaningfully into local markets like India. Mikaela spoke about adapting global innovation to regional needs, ensuring solutions are relevant to local climates, regulations, and construction practices, while still meeting international green-building standards.

Her address underscored a powerful message:
Sustainable construction is not a future concept, it is a present-day responsibility enabled by science, innovation, and collaboration.

Why This Moment Matters for MAPEI India
Being invited to deliver a keynote at IGBC is a strong endorsement of MAPEI’s credibility and leadership in sustainable construction. For MAPEI India, this milestone represents:
Recognition by one of India’s most respected green-building institutions
Alignment with global sustainability benchmarks
Reinforcement of our long-term commitment to responsible and future-ready construction in India

We thank IGBC for this opportunity and for fostering meaningful conversations around sustainability.
MAPEI remains committed to supporting greener, smarter, and more resilient built environments, both in India and globally.
