Planitop Rasa & Ripara R4 Extra Zero: technology and sustainability for concrete repairing

May 27, 2025
The Planitop Rasa & Ripara range expands with a new solution that combines high technology and maximum effectiveness: Planitop Rasa & Ripara R4 Extra Zero*, for repairing and smoothing concrete with fully offset CO2 emissions.

Planitop Rasa & Ripara R4 Extra Zero is a fibre-reinforced thixotropic cementitious mortar with semi-rapid setting and compensated shrinkage. It is easy to apply, offers excellent adhesion to concrete and hardens without shrinkage, guaranteeing stable and long-lasting results even on large surfaces. Thanks to its formulation, the mortar offers high resistance to cracking, ensuring greater durability. The semi-rapid setting allows for longer workability times, making it ideal also for warm-weather applications.  In addition, it ensures a smooth and even finish, ready for painting without the need for further interventions.

Planitop Rasa & Ripara R4 Extra Zero is EC1 Plus certified and contains very low VOC emissions, ensuring the health and safety of installers and end users. It helps earn LEED credits in the building sector.

In its ongoing commitment to sustainable construction, Mapei is expanding its Zero line, which now comprises over 200 products whose CO₂ emissions are entirely offset through the purchase of certified carbon credits to support forest protection projects. Through the work of its Research Laboratories, the company is committed to formulating high-performance solutions that reduce environmental impact throughout the product life cycle.

* CO2 emissions measured throughout the life cycle of products from the Zero line in 2025 using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, verified and certified with EPDs, have been offset through the acquisition of certified carbon credits in support of forestry protection projects. A commitment to the planet, to people and to biodiversity.
