Supply of a reinforced screed for the protection and consolidation of the extrados of the vaults.
Since the fire that struck the cathedral in 2019, an exceptional restoration site has been deployed to restore all its splendor to this jewel of Gothic architecture. The companies Lefevre and CCR (Balas Group) are in charge of the restoration of the vaults of Notre-Dame, in the transepts, the choir, the nave and the transept crossing. MAPEI participates in this exceptional building site by supplying them the Planitop HDM Restauro mortar based on lime and ecopouzzolan which, reinforced by a fiberglass mesh, is intended to carry out a reinforced screed of protection and consolidation of the extrados of the vaults. This solution, specifically adapted for the reinforcement of historic structures, was validated by the team of Chief Architects of Historic Monuments in charge of the site: Philippe Villeneuve, Rémi Fromont and Pascal Prunet. |
