A seminar on “Innovative Limed-Based Products & Solutions for Historical Buildings” was attended by over 120 architects at the Pam centre in Bangsar.
Davide Bandera, the Product Manager for restoration line for masonry building from Italy, was the speaker for the seminar. With a vast experience and knowledge of heritage building systems, David covered the area of solving problem that affect a historical building and to address the remedial action with analysis, diagnostic investigations, choice of materials and definition of the application methodologies. Mape-Antique range of products was introduced along with project references undertaken by Mapei around the world. All products under Mape-Antique for restoration are cement-free and are based on lime and Eco-Pozollan. Their elastic and mechanical properties are similar to the masonries in structures of historical interest and their very low VOC emissions meet the fundamentals principles of eco-sustainability.
