On January 20, MAPEI Malaysia visited Datuk Ooi Eow Jin, our national treasure who has made immense contributions to the country's music heritage, and his family.
Datuk Ooi Eow Jin, is bed-ridden and suffering from Alzheimer’s, and they have a 54-year old son who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour since a young age. A younger son died of leukemia at the age of 24.
MAPEI Malaysia together with the donations from staff has contributed a sum to help alleviate the family's financial difficulties. A cheque was passed to Datin Elaine Khaw by Mapei Malaysia Managing Director, Mr Seow Aik Guan.
