SPARK 2018 (Space & Park), organised by ILAM, the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia, gathered key leaders in the ‘Built Environment’ including landscape architects, architects, designers, engineers, environmentalists, developers, policy makers and market leaders of national and international standing to discuss challenges in the industry and explore solutions for sustainable living. Through this year’s theme, “Designing Cities, Inspiring Living”, SPARK 2018 took a closer look at global efforts in this regard.

MAPEI presented a talk covering solutions for lifestyle urban living with integrated systems for sports and recreational areas. According to Assoc. Prof. LAr. Dr. Suhardi bin Maulan, President of ILAM, “our main objective is to design a city that is specifically molded for the society as well as developing an inspiring place to live, work and play”.
