Mapei is strengthening its presence at the Monza National Autodrome by introducing a groundbreaking innovation for the Italian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 September 2025 at the Brianza circuit: the safety barriers and vertical signage have been coated with a paint that has fully offset CO2 emissions.
Mapecoat TNS Race VRT Zero, a one-component acrylic
paint developed by Mapei for vertical barriers and custom graphics, has been used. It is designed to provide resistance and durability as well as a matte finish that reduces glare during races, even at night. This product is part of
Mapei's Zero Line,
which offsets residual CO2 emissions* by purchasing carbon credits for forest protection projects. Thanks to its waterborne formulation and total offsetting of CO
2 emissions, this technology successfully combines safety, performance and sustainability.
To complete the project,
Mapecoat TNS Race Track Mapei's FIM and FIA approved coloured acrylic coating ,
was used on kerbs, starting grids, pits and escape routes. This coating provides durable, non-slip surfaces that are resistant to atmospheric agents and capable of maintaining the roughness necessary for rider safety over time.
