6500 M3 / 534 METER-LONG CONCRETE BRIDGE ON WISŁOKA RIVER WITH MAPEI ADMIXTURES FOR CONCRETE INSIDE
DYNAMON XTEND W270 has been created to satisfy the needs of polish bridge constructors – especially in terms of extremely high requirements related to the distribution of pores in concrete under ava (air void analyzator) method. As Lafarge’s admixtures supplier of choice, MAPEI took part in the process of creation of concrete mixtures to comply with specification for Wisłoka bridge. Mapei formulas were proven right at the beginning of the investment (by general direction of national roads and highways as well as by the building supervisor) and at every important step of the project (several samples of concrete mixture taken directly at the jobsite and tested at MAPEI concrete Labat Gliwice to confirm stability of technical parameters). Wisłoka bridge extends the list of MAPEI admixtures for concrete reference projects, but also makes happy many people living on the left bank of the Wisłoka river. They are now much better connected with Mielec city (including brother-in-law of MAPEI project’s coordinator whose regular journey to work is now shorter by almost 1 hour each day). |
