Radovi izvedeni Mapei materijalima	Located in the town of Sant Pere de Ribes, in the province of Barcelona, the Lycée Français Bel-Air is part of the official French education system, offering education from nursery to high school. With the passage of time, exposure to weather conditions and intensive use have caused significant deterioration in the 2,800 m² of the school's sports court, with cracks and other pathologies that make its rehabilitation essential. The main objective of this intervention is to provide students with safe, functional facilities that meet today's sporting standards for basketball and football practice. To carry out this improvement, the school has entrusted the company ARIS-FLOOR S.L., responsible for the execution of the project, while Mapei has proposed paving systems that fully meet the technical and functional needs of the end users. Intervention process: Phase 1: Preparation of the Support The first step of the process consisted of a thorough sanding and vacuuming of the existing surface, followed by the repair of the detected cracks. These preliminary tasks were essential to ensure proper adhesion of the subsequent coats and to guarantee an optimal and long-lasting performance of the installed system. Phase 2: Epoxy Primer Mapecoat TNS EPW, an water-based epoxy primer specially formulated to improve adhesion on concrete or asphalt surfaces, was applied. In addition to improving adhesion, this product significantly contributes to increasing the mechanical strength and durability of the system as a whole. Phase 3: Application of Acrylic-Epoxy Coating The coating was carried out using Mapecoat TNS Extreme, a two-component system that combines the flexibility and versatility of acrylic resins with the mechanical strength and durability of epoxy resins. Thanks to this hybrid formulation, the system offers excellent performance against structural movements, impacts and wear due to intensive use. The coating was applied in two layers, ensuring uniform coverage and a high-performance finish, both in functional and aesthetic terms: The first coat was distributed in different colours for specific areas of the football pitch and basketball court, using shades such as TNS 20 (dark green), TNS 35, 14, 23, 4 and 19. The next day, the second coat was applied to consolidate the system and enhance the finish uniformity. Phase 4: Line Marking Finally, the lane lines were marked using Mapecoat TNS Line in white. This coating ensures high visibility, resistance and durability against weathering, essential for intensive play areas. The intervention transformed not only the aesthetics and functionality of the school playground, but also provided the sports facilities with a highly wear-resistant pavement. The new environment offers safe surfaces, designed to absorb impacts and significantly reduce the risk of injury during sports practice. In addition, the installed system ensures long durability and requires minimal maintenance, contributing to the operational sustainability of the school.
