Mapei at Marmomac 2024

New solutions for pervious paving and surface protection

Mapei, world leader in the production of chemical products for the building industry, presents its new products at Marmomac 2024, the international reference event for the stone industry, held in Verona from 24 to 27 September, enhancing its presence on the market through a wide range of solutions for natural stone installation and urban design.

At stand E2 in Hall 7, Mapei invites visitors to discover its product lines dedicated to road surfaces in stone and washed concrete with exposed aggregate finish and to the maintenance and care of surfaces. Innovative products, for pervious paving that can be quickly reopened to traffic, safe and durable, to meet the needs of designers, clients and end users.

NEW PRODUCTS

Mapestone Joint Ghost: a quickly ready for use binder

In order to meet the needs of customers and the community who always have to return to urban areas in the shortest time as possible, Mapei’s research laboratories have developed Mapestone Joint Ghost, a transparent, not sensitive to humidity, solvent-free, rapid-curing and drying binder. The absence of isocyanates and solvents guarantees a product that respects the environment and the user.

It is a new product, unique on the market, for the creation of flexible and pervious paving in setts, blocks and pebbles, and for restoring grouts of architectural natural stone pavements. The most innovative and revolutionary characteristic is that it is ready for use.

It is also available in the Mapestone Joint Ghost Plus version, for even faster ready for use times.

Mapestone Drain: pervious pavings for light traffic

Another great innovation by the Milanese company presented at Marmomac 2024 is Mapestone Drain, a ready-mixed pervious mortar with high mechanical performance (30 MPa) for outdoor screeds.

Mapestone Drain can be used for the installation and subsequent grouting (width greater than 1 cm) of architectural paving subject to light traffic such as access areas to homes, hotels, parking lots subject to moderate vehicular traffic, or for pedestrian areas, as described by UNI 11714 - 1- 2018 for class P7: pedestrian and light vehicular traffic.

The mortar is also recommended for pervious stone surfaces that are resistant to temperature changes and freeze/thaw cycles, guaranteeing long lasting durability.

UltraCare: 2 new products for finishing surfaces

Mapei's UltraCare line has been enriched with two new products for finishing and protecting surfaces. UltraCare Finish Lucida and UltraCare Finish Opaca offer long-lasting protection and an impeccable aesthetic appearance on all terracotta, stone, unpolished marble, recomposed marble, grit and similar indoor or outdoor covered floors, with glossy or matt finishes according to requirements. The UltraCare range continues to grow, offering practical and innovative solutions for cleaning, protecting, maintaining and, with these new products, finishing all types of surfaces.
