Yes, mosaics measuring 2" x 2" (5 x 5 cm) or larger are approved.

Can I install my Flexcolor CQ grout over the entire surface before washing it?

It is necessary to work small areas, maximum 15 to 20 sq. ft. (1.39 to 1.86 m²). Do not allow the grout to dry for more than 10 minutes.

Can I install new tile or stone over existing tiles?

Yes, if the existing substrate is in good condition, clean the surface with a degreaser such as our UltraCare Heavy-Duty Stone, Tile & Grout Cleaner, rinse and allow to dry. Then, prime the surface with ECO Prim Grip before applying the mortar.

Can I install tiles over my painted concrete?

No, all paints must be mechanically removed.

We approve the installation of wood and LVT over Mapeguard UM, but it is not approved for Mapeguard UM 35 [NA].

Yes, it is important to dry-blend the bag first before mixing small batches. The small-batch mixing ratio is 4:1 of powder to water.

Can I pour leveler over Mapeguard UM and Mapeguard UM 35 [NA]?

Self-levelers can be poured over Mapeguard UM at a 3/8" (10 mm) minimum over the entire area, but we do not recommend it for Mapeguard UM 35 [NA].

Can I use Keracolor S with glass tile?

Sanded grout is not recommended with glass tile, because it could possibly scratch the glass.
