Waterproofing can be categorized into 3 major application types. 1) Sheet Membrane, 2) Liquid Applied Membrane, and 3) Sprayed Applied Waterproofing Membrane (by machine).

The main difference would be the application method. Each has its own advantages. Liquid applied membrane can take any profile of the concrete surface, while waterproofing membrane sheet is consistent in terms of membrane thickness and characteristics. Aquaflex Roof, Plastimul PU and Purtop Easy are examples of Liquid Applied Membrane. Mapethene TA, Mapethene HT SP, Mapeproof AL AP and Spider P are examples of Sheet Membrane.

Mapei has complete solutions portfolio for waterproofing underground structures. Mapeproof AL AP, Mapethene HT SP and Mapelastic Foundation are some products developed for underground waterproofing.  First, we need to understand the water table and type of construction for the project before a right product is being proposed.

Yes you can! Depending on specification requirements, Mapei is able to offer waterproofing in various applications. Our range of waterproof concrete products are: Idrocrete WP and Idrocrete KR 1000.

Products such as our Mapeplan range, such as Mapeplan TB which are synthetic rolled on waterproofing membranes supplied in various roll lengths or our liquid applied products from the Aquaflex range such as Aqauflex Roof MY. Self adhesive preformed waterproofing membranes such as Spider P which can be applied without any torch or flame in the job site are also suitable.

Roof Waterproofing in Singapore

In Singapore’s tropical climate, protecting roofs from water damage is essential to maintain the structural integrity of buildings, especially ones that are multiple stories high.
