Mapei, a leading manufacturer of chemical products for the building industry, is expanding its operations in Denmark by acquiring a 15,000 m2 factory in Vejeto house new offices, a warehouse and a plant for the manufacture of concrete admixtures.

This strategic investment confirms Mapei's commitment to expand its operations in Nordic countries, so that it can work more closely with its customers and extend its product portfolio.

Thanks to the availability of a cutting-edge local manufacturing plant, Mapei Denmark will be better equipped to meet the growing demand for high-quality building materials, becoming a leading player in the Danish building industry and, at the same time, reducing its transport-related carbon footprint.
The company will use its new resources in Denmark to develop and manufacture high-performance products and solutions, most notably concrete admixtures.

Commenting on the investment, Veronica and Marco Squinzi, CEOs of the Mapei Group, said: "We are delighted to boost our operations in Denmark. This asset is an important milestone in our internationalisation and localisation strategy. The acquisition of the plant will further enhance our ability to offer tailor-made products and provide excellent service to our customers all over the country".

The acquisition of this new manufacturing plant extends Mapei's operations in northern Europe, where it already operates through factories and sales offices in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Group's strength is, indeed, its notable geographic diversification so it can directly serve each individual market, focusing on the territories in question and their differing needs.

Mapei currently operates across all five continents, with 90 manufacturing plants in 35 countries.
