Sassuolo Calcio wins the Serie B championship

Sassuolo Calcio, the pride of the Emilia ceramic district and a flagship of Mapei's sports investments, won the Serie B championship and immediately returned to Serie A.

A success that goes beyond sporting results, confirming the strength of a project built over time thanks to Mapei's vision and constant support. Since 2003, the year in which the Milan-based company became the club's owner, Sassuolo has made an extraordinary rise: from Serie C2 to Serie A, where it has competed for eleven consecutive seasons, even achieving the historic goal of the Europa League in 2016.

The recently ended Serie B season was a triumphant run for the Neroverdi. With a record-breaking points average and the best attack in the league, the team led by coach Fabio Grosso secured mathematical promotion well in advance, later sealing it with the victory in the Cadetti league cup. This year’s triumph proves that new energy and ambition can arise from adversity. After the disappointment of relegation, the club immediately reacted with determination. The result is a well-deserved  promotion and a Serie B title that will go down in the club’s history.
