Mapei and Jakala together for the development of the new international B2B portal based on Adobe technology

A joint project aimed at creating a scalable, data-driven platform ready for international expansion

JAKALA, a leader in AI-based data-transformation, together with Mapei, has led the design, development and release of a new B2B portal, a digital platform, based on Adobe technology,  aimed at improving agents’ experience and providing unified governance of commercial activities.

An integrated and collaborative approach

The project, which started in May 2024, was characterised by the strong synergy between the JAKALA and Mapei teams, who worked closely together throughout all phases: from the definition of the architecture to the deploying, up to the management of the international rollouts. Mapei's contribution was crucial in guiding strategic and technological choices, thanks to its deep knowledge of the business processes and operational needs in the different markets. At the same time, JAKALA provided its technical expertise through a multidisciplinary team of 18 professionals specialised in Tech, Commerce Development, Data Management and Advisory.

A key element of the project was the development, by JAKALA's Data Management team in collaboration with Mapei, of an advanced Integration Layer: a fundamental component to enable the management of large volumes of data from heterogeneous systems, ensuring speed, reliability and scalability of the platform.

The platform developed for Mapei is designed as an operational tool to serve agents, capable of simplifying the entire sales and order management process. The interface has been built to offer an immediate and functional user experience, while the underlying architecture guarantees efficiency, traceability and consistency in managing commercial flows, even in complex contexts.

International release: a platform designed to scale

From the very beginning, the project was conceived to support an international expansion strategy for Mapei: the aim is to provide each Mapei subsidiary with a coherent, high-performance and integrated digital environment, capable of adapting to local specificities while guaranteeing full traceability of business processes at a centralised level.

The first release took place in Hungary for Mapei Kft, the Hungarian subsidiary of Mapei, in February 2025. To date, JAKALA has completed the rollout for three other foreign subsidiaries of the Mapei Group, while the implementation of the portal for Mapei S.p.A, the Italian headquarters, is currently underway in line with a release plan that progresses steadily with   one country per month.

The rollout program will continue in the coming months, with the gradual involvement of additional Mapei countries. The ultimate goal is to extend the platform globally, making it the reference digital solution for interaction between Mapei and its commercial ecosystem.
