The Tour of Slovenia stops at the new Mapei Slovenia headquarters: a special milestone one year after the inauguration

One year after the inauguration of its new headquarters in Škofljica, Mapei Slovenia has achieved another important milestone: on Wednesday 4 June, the first stage of the 31st Tour of Slovenia ended right in front of the factory entrance. The event confirmed the deep bond between Mapei and cycling, a shared passion that has always accompanied the company's growth in the country.

The stage started in the picturesque Tartini Square in Piran and crossed the Slovenian coast, passing through Portorož, Koper and the Karst region, before heading inland to the finish line in Škofljica. The dynamic and varied route featured a climb in the first part and a flatter second part, giving the best teams the chance to battle it out for victory right in front of the Mapei headquarters. The event was also attended by Veronica Squinzi, Mapei CEO, and Simona Giorgetta, member of the board of directors, who participated together with the entire Mapei Slovenia team.

For over 30 years, Mapei has supported cycling around the world, appreciating its values such as commitment, hard work, teamwork and fair competition. With this event, the company continues to consolidate its presence in the world of sport, which has always been an integral part of its history.
