Mapei renews its partnership with the Landscape Festival – I Maestri del Paesaggio, the international event scheduled to take place in Bergamo from September 5 to 21, 2025, now in its fifteenth edition. This year’s Festival embraces the theme “New Urban Ecosystem,” tackling the major challenge of rethinking cities as sustainable, inclusive and resilient ecosystems, in balance with urbanisation, ecology and economy.
Mapei's support is expressed through several integrated initiatives. First and foremost, an installation in Piazza Angelini, which, in line with the values of the Festival, will illustrate the integration between landscape and innovation as a driving force for urban regeneration, through the creation of pervious gravel surfaces bound with the innovative Mapestone Air Ghost product. In addition, on Friday 12 September at 10 a.m. at the Monastero del Carmine in Bergamo, Mapei will host an event in collaboration with Arketipos entitled 'Cristalli in aria' (Crystals in the air). The meeting, open to landscape architects, designers and green space managers, will focus on open spaces and, in particular on sustainable solutions that enhance historic centres, squares and streets through their green areas. It will be an opportunity to reflect on new innovative products formulated for green space management and urban regeneration, respecting existing heritage and the social and ethical value of landscape design in the current context. Finally, Mapei will participate in the Garden Masterclass with Henrik Sjöman on Wednesday 17 September, a unique opportunity to learn more about the selection of tree species for urban contexts, while on Thursday 18 September it will be present at two international seminars: "Gardener and Plant Designer: How We Can Create a Healthy Collaboration" and "Urban Planning Ecosystem", where topics related to the design and management of green spaces in urban areas will be discussed.
For years, thanks to the continuous work of its research and development laboratories, Mapei has been committed to providing innovative, low environmental impact solutions for landscaping, outdoor architecture and urban paving, responding to the needs of landscape designers, companies and end users. Mapei offers high-performance, durable and sustainable products, such as its binders and premixed products for pervious paving, including coloured paving, and high-tech materials ideal for transforming urban areas into liveable, inclusive spaces that prioritise users' well-being and green integration, while complying with the latest regulatory standards.
With this partnership, Mapei confirms its role as an active player in enhancing the territory and spreading a landscape culture that looks to the future with responsibility and creativity. Supporting the 2025 edition of the Landscape Festival is a valuable opportunity for the Milan-based company to promote innovative design practices focusing on environmental and social sustainability. This will help build a more liveable landscape for future generations.
