Three new projects with Mapecoat TNS Race Track technology at the Jerez, Sepang and Portimão circuits

October 16, 2025

Mapei confirms its growth in the motorsport sector with three important projects for the 2025 season finale. The Italian company is supplying materials for the resurfacing of kerbs and run-off areas at three prestigious international circuits, further strengthening its presence in the world of motorcycle racing.

The first project was at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto in Spain, which will host the final round of the FIM Superbike World Championship from October 17 to 19. Mapecoat TNS Race Track Zero, the coloured acrylic coating from Mapei's Zero line with fully offset CO₂ emissions, was used for this track, representing the cutting edge of sustainability in motorsport applications.

On the other side of the world, at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Mapecoat TNS Race Track will be applied for the third consecutive year for the twentieth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, scheduled from October 24 to 26. This confirms the trust placed by international organisations in Mapei's technological solutions.

The final intervention of the season will be carried out at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal, where the 2025 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Portugal will be held from November 7 to 9. Once again, Mapecoat TNS Race Track technology will be used, ensuring the highest levels of safety and durability on one of the most technical tracks in the world motorcycling calendar.

These three projects demonstrate Mapei's ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation in the world of motorsport. The solutions are certified according to FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) international standards, guaranteeing non-slip surfaces that are resistant to atmospheric agents and capable of maintaining the roughness characteristics necessary for rider safety, even in wet conditions.

This concludes a particularly intense 2025 season for Mapei in the motorsport sector. Following work on prestigious circuits such as Misano and Monza, as well as other international tracks, the Italian company has confirmed its ability  to adapt to the specific needs of each project, establishing itself as a leading partner for the world's most important motorcycle and car racing competitions.
