Air-entraining admixtures are designed to introduce evenly distributed micro-bubbles of air within the concrete, improving its workability and freeze-thaw resistance. Ideal for applications in harsh climate environments, these additives increase the durability of structures by improving freeze-thaw resistance, reducing the risk of cracking from thermal cycling. They are also able to improve the workability and cohesion of mixtures thanks to an even distribution of air bubbles. Foaming products are also available, capable of introducing high quantities of stable air over time to create conglomerates and light fillings.
