Structures for large infrastructure require not only reliable waterproofing but, above all, a waterproofing system that is durable even under high stress conditions, such as those found in infrastructures.

Mapei offers various types of products and solutions to meet the structural and requirements of this type of intervention, both for new structures and for repairing existing structures:

• Cementitious products: easy to apply, can be used with other waterproofing systems to ensure continuity and guarantee watertightness.
• Cold polyurethane products: elastic and durable membranes, easy to apply.
• Polyurea-based systems: spray-applied waterproofing systems that can be used on various types of substrates and guarantee immediate watertightness.
• Bentonite membranes: protect and waterproof structures with membranes that fully adhere to the concrete casting.
• Fully-bonded synthetic membranes: waterproofing and protection system for structures against water, moisture, gas and contaminants contained in the soil.
• Self-adhesive bituminous membranes: form a resistant and flexible barrier that protects and insulates against water, moisture and radon gas. Can be used with synthetic membranes in full adhesion.
• Bituminous emulsions: one-component or two-component products that form effective barriers against water, radon gas and methane in underground structures.
• Products for properly treating a concrete joint, structural joint or through element to prevent infiltration into the underlying structures.
