Neutral silicone sealant for fire-resistant joints

MAPESIL FR is a flexible silicone sealant used to create fire-resistant seals in walls, ceilings, plant system trays and passages in residential and industrial buildings and infrastructures.

In adverse weather conditions, MAPESIL FR behaves like a normal sealant to guarantee joints have a leak-proof seal to prevent water, air and dust from entering at temperatures from -40 to +180°C. In the event of fire, the particular formulation used to make MAPESIL FR forms a barrier to flames, smoke and heat passing through the sealed gap, thereby preventing fire propagating into adjacent rooms and environments.
