Existing ceramic floor

Filling mortar for removed tiles
After checking and preparing the existing substrate, fill any gaps left after removing damaged tiles by applying the skimming product with a trowel.

Sealant (spots application)
Bond the fibre cement or gypsum fibre panels to the existing substrate with the adhesive applied in beads around 20-30 cm apart.

Thin heating system

Primer
Apply the primer with a brush or roller over the entire surface of the panels.

Adhesive (1st coat)
Apply a first layer of adhesive using the smooth edge of a trowel to fill the cavities in the panel/pipework.

Adhesive (2nd coat)
Apply a second layer of adhesive using the double-buttering method with a notched trowel suitable for the type and format of the tiles to ensure the back of the tiles is wetted sufficiently.

Ceramic tiles

Grout
Once the adhesive has set, carefully fill the grouts to their full depth using a rubber trowel without leaving gaps or steps.

Sealant
MAPEFOAM + MAPESIL AC
Seal the perimeter and expansion joints after inserting MAPEFOAM to set the correct depth.
