Existing structure

Chemical anchor for structural loads

MAPEFIX VE SF

Fasten to existing structure using suitable metal connectors.

Waterproofing cementitious mortar (2 coats)

MAPELASTIC FOUNDATION

Apply the product in 2 coats by roller for a total thickness of at least 2 mm.

Bentonite sheet

MAPEPROOF

Spread the bentonite sheet on the whole horizontal surface to cover the previously applied MAPELASTIC FOUNDATION. Overlap the adjacent sheets longitudinally and join them with nails and MAPEPROOF CD CD washers.

Bentonite grout

MAPEPROOF MASTIC

Apply the bentonite paste by trowel or spreader on all rods passing through the sheet.

Hydro-expanding sealant in paste

MAPEPROOF SWELL

Seal the repair or pipe by extruding the product through a sealant cartridge.

Hydro-expanding bentonite joint IDROSTOP SOFT bonded to substrate using adhesive ULTRABOND MS RAPID

Apply the hydro-expanding acrylic profile in the midspan section of the construction joint.

Concrete structure admixed with

Add the superplasticiser DYNAMON to the concrete mix for floors.

Adhesive

KERAFLEX

Apply the adhesive using the double-buttering technique with a notched trowel of a suitable size depending on the type and size of the tiles, so as to ensure an adequate wetting of the back of the tiles. While installing the tiles use levelling systems from the MAPELEVEL line to maintain the correct width for the grouts and to reduce lippage between adjacent tiles.

Apply the flexible sealant on the contact perimeter between wall and floor.

Grout

ULTRACOLOR PLUS

When the adhesive has set, fill the joints in their whole depth with the selected grout using a rubber trowel, taking care not to leave gaps or steps. When the grout loses its plasticity, wash off the excess product with a damp hard cellulose sponge They may also be finished off while the product is partially hardened by going over the surface with a damp abrasive pad (such as a Scotch-Brite® pad). Remove any cementitious residues with ULTRACARE KERANET.

Levelling with fibre-reinforced mortar

PLANITOP HDM MAXI

Apply a uniform layer of mortar using a metal trowel and regularize the surface so that a flat surface is obtained.

Bottom scratch coat

Apply the scratch coat by spreader or rendering machine in a 0.5 cm thickness coat for a complete covering of the substrate.

Dehumidifying render

POROMAP DEUMIDIFICANTE

Apply the render by spreader or rendering machine in a coat at least 1 cm thick.

Breathable skimcoat

POROMAP FINITURA CIVILE

Apply the breathable skimming mortar at 2 mm thckness per coat using a flat metal trowel.

Siloxane primer

SILANCOLOR PRIMER

Apply the primer by brush, roller or spray.

Siloxane paint

SILANCOLOR PITTURA ZERO

Once the primer is dry apply the paint with a brush, roller or spray. 2 coats are required to ensure complete, effective hiding.

The choice of adhesive and covering varies according to type and format of tiles.
