Hosted on the old EXPO site destined to accommodate the innovative MIND - Milano District, Mapei has joined Federated Innovation, a virtuous model of developing innovation projects in the field of the Life Sciences and City of the Future, which will involve numerous leading companies in their fields. More specifically, Mapei will operate in the Construction Tech cluster to promote ideas and cooperation in the realm of developing innovative ideas for the building and construction industry.
Federated Innovation is a project promoted by LandLease and Cariplo Factory, whose aim is to promote and carry out innovative projects in the realms of Greentech, Urban Digital Tech, Fintech, Agrifood Tech & Wellbeing, Retail Tech, Life Sciences & Health Care, Proptech & Smart Spaces, Security & Defense, Mobility and Logistics and Energy and Construction Tech by means of cooperation and competition between companies at the very cutting-edge of their own field of enterprise. Joint ventures will also be promoted between different sectors to create new opportunities for technological development and to accelerate innovation processes aimed at enhancing the well-being of both people and the planet.
This business model, based on a unique legal framework, will allow new ideas to be gathered and rapidly developed so they can be made available to everybody. The creative and experimental phases will be followed by a “competition” phase, which will see each company or team of companies develop a project to be selected for and then incorporated in MIND.
