Mapei will  take part in Asphaltica World 2025, the leading event for the road construction sector in Italy and Europe. The event, scheduled to take place in Bari at the Fiera del Levante from 29 to 31 October 2025, represents the most important international event for road construction professionals, bringing together the entire industry supply chain with a focus on technological innovation, environmental sustainability and road safety.

At stand no. 44-45 in hall 110, Mapei will showcase its technologically advanced solutions to meet the modern challenges of the road sector, confirming its commitment to innovation and sustainability in road infrastructure.

The SOLUTIONS ON DISPLAY

Innovative asphalt pavements

Mapei will present two cutting-edge solutions for strengthening and repairing road pavements. The first is Polystrada SA PLUS, an adhesive waterproofing prefabricated SAMI road geocomposite membrane,  made from highly modified bitumen, which represents an innovative solution for reinforcing bituminous mixes with high anti-pumping and anti-cracking properties. This product is manufactured by Polyglass, a Mapei Group company and leader in the production of waterproofing membranes. Designed for particularly heavy loads, the membrane offers excellent mechanical resistance and dimensional stability, making it suitable for high traffic and heavy loads. Thanks to ADESO technology, the self-adhesive compound guarantees cold application without the need for torching, preserving the initial characteristics of the product. Alongside Polystrada SA PLUS, there is Mapegrout Drain Fill NV, a superfluid mortar for semi-flexible pavements, which completes the range for the asphalt paving sector with high-performance filling solutions for modern road structures.

Advanced waterproofing systems

In the field of waterproofing, Mapei presents Purtop 400 M System Deck, a spray-applied hybrid polyurea waterproofing system specifically developed for waterproofing bridge decks and road structures under asphalt. This solution represents a technological evolution in ensuring the long-lasting protection of infrastructure from atmospheric agents and mechanical stress, guaranteeing the longevity and reliability of the structures.

Durable sports pavements

The offering is completed by Mapecoat TNS Extreme and Mapecoat TNS Extreme SF sports pavement solutions, high-performance topcoatings designed for surfaces subject to intense sports and recreational use. These products offer high wear resistance, colour stability and durability over time, meeting the most modern requirements of sports facilities and recreational areas.

MAPEI CONFERENCES

During the event, Mapei will organise two high-level scientific training sessions that will explore strategic issues for the sector. On Wednesday, October 29, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Room 5, the conference "Inside the pavement. Reinforcement systems for a new generation of roads" will be held. The meeting will analyse reinforcement solutions for road pavements through a design approach based on accurate diagnosis of existing conditions as well as analysis of loads and performance objectives. Mapei will present various intervention strategies, ranging from composite material technologies to special asphalt solutions, taking into account the selection criteria related to the context and life cycle of materials. Case histories will highlight tangible results in terms of increased load-bearing capacity, extended service life and reduced maintenance activities. The following day, Thursday, October 30, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., again in Room 5, a roundtable entitled "Solid by design. The engineering of hybrid pavements", will take place, developed in collaboration with technical partners and focused on Grouted Macadam technology, designed for contexts where resistance to static loads is a priority. The meeting, which will also feature a contribution from Marco Sandri, Director of i.build, the Pavement Business Unit of Heidelberg Materials Italy , will explore the principles and application methodology, highlighting the system's ability to combine the operational flexibility of asphalt pavements with the mechanical properties typical of concrete. Shared experiences will highlight the operational and performance advantages, as well as the optimal scenarios for the use of Mapei products in industrial and infrastructure applications.
